Thomas Carr College is inviting applications from collaborative, innovative, and passionate Teachers to join our College in 2027. We are seeking educators who are committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment where every student is empowered to achieve their full potential. Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to student learning and achievement, possess the expertise to teach in their subject area across the secondary years, and have proven experience and capability in supporting students to achieve excellence in their secondary studies through engaging and evidence-based teaching.
About the College
As a Catholic School, Thomas Carr College aims to educate our students with an appreciation of the spiritual as well as the intellectual and physical aspects of their lives. We aim to work with our parents to produce young people of faith and character. We are a Catholic Co-educational College in Tarneit, West of Melbourne with 1400 students.
Our College continues to grow and embraces the Berry Street Education Model as a key strategy in supporting the learning and wellbeing needs of our students. Thomas Carr College is also a leading provider of VCE offshore delivery and opportunities exist for international travel as part of a mentoring role that attracts the generous time and financial allowance.
The Role
Teachers at Thomas Carr College are key members of the College contributing to a culture of high expectations, professional collaboration and continuous improvement. The Teacher is accountable for the effective implementation of College policies and is committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment where every student is empowered to achieve their full potential. Central to the role is the responsibility to plan, collaborate and evaluate learning and teaching practices that promote academic growth, student engagement, wellbeing and the values of Catholic education.
We are now seeking new and experienced teachers across all subject areas from Years 7 to 12 to commence at the start of 2027. This includes:
- Religious Education
- English
- Science
- Humanities
- Digital Technologies including Systems Engineering
- Health and Physical Education
Salary
In accordance with the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA), the salary range for all teaching staff is $79,589 – $118,063 as per the Schedule of Salary.
