Homework Club

Thomas Carr College offers Middle School students the opportunity to attend weekly Homework Club sessions. The Club assists students with homework or gives them the chance to complete their homework in a supervised environment.

At Thomas Carr College, we believe that regular homework helps students by complementing and reinforcing classroom learning, fostering good habits of lifelong learning, self-discipline, and by providing an opportunity for students to be responsible for their own learning. Homework helps students to develop organisational and time management skills, self-discipline, skills in using out of school resources and personal responsibility for homework.

Our homework club runs every Wednesday afternoon from 3.30pm – 4.30pm in the Information Centre. The club has been established to support students in their learning. Students have a quiet environment with access to computers, including the internet, while being supervised and assisted by qualified College teaching staff and staff members from the support department.
