About the College

The Role

The Canteen Assistant supports the daily operations of the College Canteen and assists with the preparation of catering for College events and functions. The role contributes to providing efficient, safe, and high‑quality food services to students, staff, and visitors.

Salary

In accordance with the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA), the salary for a Canteen Assistant is $57,906 as per the Schedule of Salary for a Category B 2-1 School Services Officer.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated passion, energy, optimism, and a commitment to serving students, staff and parents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within the College community.
  • Current Food Handler Certificate or the willingness and ability to obtain one.
  • Understanding of child safety requirements and appropriate behaviours when working with students.
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Record History Check, demonstrating suitability for child‑connected work.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the responsibilities associated with this position.
