On Tuesday 16 April, our two Year 9 Outdoor Education classes went on an excursion to UrbnSurf in Tullamarine. On the day, both classes participated in a Surf Lesson and Water Safety Session. Students learnt the basic skills of surfing, how to safely enter the water, what to look for in different marine environments and what to do if they found themselves in trouble at the beach. The students had such a great time, with many surfing for the very first time and loving it. We look forward to putting what we learnt into practice come our Outdoor Education camp next month, when we take to the surf again.
