SACCSS Sports in 2023

10 February 2023

What an exciting year of SACCSS Sport we have ahead of us in 2023. This year marks the fourth year TCC are participating in this Association, and after a strong 2022, our Titans are very much looking forward to even more success on and off the sporting field. Our Senior competition (Cricket and Netball) is underway and our Year 10’s will be taking to the playing arena for the first time on Thursday February 9. There are many sporting opportunities on offer at the  College and we urge all students to stay tuned to email and SIMON/MS Teams messages for how they can get involved over the course of the year.

With the weather warming up, it is important that all students in SACCSS are well prepared for all the types of weather conditions that may arise. For those students in outdoor sports, it is imperative that a hat is worn and sunscreen is regularly applied to protect oneself. Sunscreen is located in all first aid kits and all students are reminded to ensure they have adequate amounts of drinking water to keep hydrated and ensure they seek shade where possible. Students can keep up to date with weather forecasts by visiting the College’s SIMON intranet page which has a link to local weather forecasts and the UV index.

If your child has an EpiPen or asthma pump they are required to ensure it travels with them to all SACCSS games and training. This must be shown to their coach prior to hopping on the bus.

Should your child play a sport outside school and receives a concussion, it is important to notify Miss White and the College Nurse prior to your child’s next scheduled SACCSS game or training. Any child with concussion will be asked to provide a medical certificate to prove they have clearance to resume training and playing. This is an important step to ensure your child is safe to participate as their health is our number one priority.

We wish all of our students the very best of luck. We know you will represent us with great pride and “sportspersonship”.

GO TCC TITANS!
