Language Assistant for Italian Classes

23 June 2023

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Giorgia Corradin, a native Italian speaker, who joins us as the Italian Language Assistant at Thomas Carr College from Term Two until the end of the year. Giorgia’s expertise and passion for the Italian language and culture will undoubtedly enrich the learning experience for our students.

Giorgia comes to us from a town close to Milan, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and an authentic understanding of the Italian language. Her role as a language assistant is to support our Italian classes, working closely with both students and teachers to foster a dynamic and immersive learning environment.

As a native speaker, Giorgia’s presence in the classroom will provide a unique opportunity for our students to engage with the language in its purest form. By interacting with Giorgia, students will be exposed to authentic pronunciation, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions, enabling them to develop a deeper understanding of Italian language and culture.

Giorgia will collaborate closely with our Italian teachers to design engaging lessons, incorporating various interactive activities, such as role-plays, group discussions, and cultural projects. Her presence will not only enhance students’ language skills but also provide valuable insights into the rich cultural heritage of Italy.

We believe that Giorgia’s contribution will greatly benefit our students, helping them develop linguistic proficiency, cultural awareness, and a lifelong love for the Italian language. Through her guidance and support, students will have the opportunity to explore the vast world of Italian literature, art, music, and cuisine, expanding their horizons and fostering a sense of global citizenship.

We encourage all parents to encourage their children to embrace this unique opportunity and make the most of Giorgia’s expertise. Together, we can create a rewarding and memorable Italian language learning experience for our students at Thomas Carr College.

We extend a warm welcome to Giorgia Corradin and express our gratitude for her dedication and passion for teaching Italian. We are confident that her presence will inspire our students and ignite their curiosity for the beautiful language and culture of Italy.
