The Student Support Team provides specialised support through the provision of an integrated, flexible and highly individualised approach so that the needs of funded students are met. Students who experience significant or sustained disadvantage in their studies may be eligible for funding to support their learning through the Students with Disabilities (SWD) program. In-class support is offered by Student Support Officers who can provide appropriate and tailored assistance for students in collaboration with their classroom teachers, so that they are better able to access the curriculum and to manage their learning.
Some students are also assisted with support in small group learning teams by specialist Student Support Teachers. Regular Program Support Group Meetings are facilitated by the Student Support Team Leader and the team to ensure that parents are kept abreast of their son or daughter’s progress and to ensure that the student’s Personalised Learning Plan goals are regularly reviewed and updated.
