Swimming Carnival

On Friday February 21, Thomas Carr College held its annual House Swimming Carnival down at Werribee Outdoor Olympic Pool. Students from the four Houses battled it out in the pool in traditional events and on land competing in various House activities like egg on spoon, down ball, survivor challenge and a Mr Squiggle contest. Westport got off to a flying start, but were pipped in the end by an all-conquering Galway team who have now won the last three major house events. Congratulations Galway! The overall totals were: 4th on 986 points – Moylough 3rd on 1080 points – Maynooth 2nd on 1176 points – Westport 1st on 1179 points – Galway Attention now turns to the upcoming ACS Swimming Carnival that will be held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on March 21.
