International Women's Day

8 March 2018 | General Interest

International Women’s Day was celebrated last week on Thursday on March 8 with a Breakfast for our female student leaders. This is the third year that we have celebrated the day in this way. This Year, the theme of International Women’s Day was #PressForProgress, With the World Economic Forum's 2017 Global Gender Gap Report findings telling us that gender parity is over 200 years away - there has never been a more important time to keep motivated and #PressForProgress. With global activism for women's equality fuelled by movements like #MeToo, #TimesUp and more - there is a strong global momentum striving for gender parity. Each student considered how they could support the theme, #PressForProgress. and contributed to an artwork that will be on display soon.
