Superheroes visit TCC Athletics Carnival for a good cause

29 April 2016 | General Interest

On Friday April 29 during the House Athletics Carnival, the College Vinnies Conference spearheaded a fundraising for the Captain Courageous Foundation. The aim of the fundraiser is to help find a cure for children who suffer from life-threatening Bone Marrow Failure diseases such as leukaemia. Every cent raised went to Australia’s first national collaborative research program and will assist in speeding up the research to accelerate the path to a cure.

Thanks to the Year 12s who registered as Super Heroes for the day with their dollar donations and well done to all who, in support of this worthwhile cause, casted their 20-cent vote for their favourite Super Hero or simply put in a donation.

The most popular Super Heroes of the day were Alisha Bala and Claudia Abela's Super Mario Brothers, followed by Ally Wilson's Avatar the Last Airbender and  Mitchell Florence's Good Ninja Turtle.
