 Launch for Justice

On Tuesday  September 15 Mrs Dagmang, Social Justice Coordinator and Mrs Udovicic represented Thomas Carr College at Docklands at the Australian Catholic Bishops Social Justice Statement 2015-16  launched by Bishop Vincent Long.

They joined over two thousand students and staff from other Melbourne Catholic colleges and organisations. Everyone present stood and prayed in solidarity as they listened to Bishop Long’s words “to be open to Jesus’ message of love and compassion for all people”. He urged everyone to be people of integrity and not be quiet and ignore the suffering of others. Bishop Long concluded the Launch by laying a wreath on the water in memory of those who have perished seeking asylum in another country. It was a deeply moving moment as the wreath slowly floated away in silence from the Melbourne Harbourside.
