7 August 2012 | General Interest

On the evening of Friday July 27, the staff of the College gathered for our Annual Dinner. For the first time, the Thomas Carr College Staff Award was presented. Staff were asked to nominate a member of staff who they believed lives out the College Vision and Mission Statement.

The criteria for the successful recipient was someone who had demonstrated and displayed the following qualities during the past 12 months:
-A commitment to the Catholic Identity of the College
-Engendered School spirit
-Involved in the co-curricular life the College
-Engaged in the life of the College, above and beyond normal expectations
-Demonstrated a professional approach to all aspects of College life

I was delighted to announce that the recipient of the inaugural Thomas Carr College Staff Award was Mrs Lori Penna. Mrs Penna has been part of the College community since joining us in 1999 and supports the Catholic Identity of the College actively, participating in as many of our liturgies and community Masses that her position as Canteen Manager allows. She is also a person of great integrity, hardworking and dedicated to her work and the College. She has a great rapport with students, staff and works extensively with out parent community.
