Student Device Program

Thomas Carr College recognises it has a responsibility through all members of the College community to provide and maintain an effective and efficient contemporary learning environment. This shared responsibility extends to all staff, students and parents accessing the College Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources and systems.


Students in Years 8-12 use the Lenova Yoga laptop. As of 2017 students in Years 7 will receive the Acer Switch 12 Alpha Tablet. Throughout the year some of our student leaders and staff have been testing several devices and it was decided that this device satisfies all the preferred requirements including flexibility, weight, size, robustness, processor capacity, functionality and Windows based operating systems.
