Enrolments for Local Students

Enrolment Criteria

Students attending Thomas Carr College should belong to the following Parishes:

  • St James Apostle, Hoppers Crossing
  • St Peter Apostle, Hoppers Crossing

Positions will be offered in the following order:

  • Brothers and/or sisters of students currently enrolled at Thomas Carr College
  • Brothers and/or sisters of past students of Thomas Carr College
  • Catholic students attending St James Apostle Primary School, St Francis of Assisi Primary School and St Peter Apostle Primary School who reside within the Thomas Carr College zoning boundary
  • Catholic students attending other Catholic primary schools who reside within the Thomas Carr College zoning boundary
  • Catholic students attending Government primary schools who reside within the Thomas Carr College zoning boundary
  • Non-catholic students attending St James Apostle Primary School or St Peter Apostle Primary School (If places are available and in line with Archdiocesan Guidelines for the enrolment of Non-catholic students)
  • Non-catholic students living within the Thomas Carr College zoning boundary (If places are available and in line with Archdiocesan Guidelines for the enrolment of Non-catholic students)

In accordance with the above criteria the procedure for application for Year 7 is as follows:

  • An application form must be submitted with the following:
    • $100 Application Fee
    • A copy of the child's Baptism certificate if the child is Catholic
    • If not born in Australia, a copy of Australian Citizenship documents or a copy of the passport and visa
    • A copy of the child's birth certificate
    • A copy of the Grade 5 NAPLAN results
    • A copy of the last Report
  • Applications must be submitted by in accordance with the Catholic Education Office guidelines
  • Interviews for all applicants and parents/guardians will be conducted
  • Offers to successful candidates will be made in accordance with the Catholic Education Office guidelines

The procedure for Years 8-12 is:

  • Initial contact to be made with the Registrar to discuss the application
  • An application form, copy of the most current report and the last NAPLAN results to be submitted for consideration, along with the $100 application fee
  • Interviews may be conducted and offers made subject to availability and eligibility
